This policy explains how Apex Innovation Consulting Sdn Bhd ("AIC", "we", "us") handles personal data collected through this website, in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
1. Who we are
AIC is a Malaysian consulting and training company. For anything in this policy, contact us at [email protected] or on +6016-587 6400.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit an enquiry or request a diagnostic call, we collect what you enter in the form:
- your name, work email and phone number;
- your organisation, role, industry and company size;
- your budget range and timeline, if you choose to give them;
- your description of the challenge you want help with.
If you book a call through our scheduling page, the scheduling provider (Calendly) also collects the details you enter there, such as your name, email and chosen time.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It records things like pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and how you arrived. It uses cookies or similar identifiers to do this.
3. Why we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and arrange a diagnostic call;
- to prepare proposals and deliver consulting or training services you ask for;
- to understand and improve how the website performs;
- to meet legal, regulatory and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run the website and our communications. They handle data only to provide their service to us:
- Formspree to receive and deliver form submissions;
- Calendly to schedule calls;
- Google for Analytics. The site's fonts are hosted on our own server, so no font files are fetched from Google;
- Netlify to host the website;
- Zoho to run our email.
Some of these providers store or process data outside Malaysia. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to professional advisers and to regulators such as HRDCorp where relevant to a programme you take part in.
5. Cookies
Only analytics cookies are used for the website itself, and they stay off until you choose Accept on the notice shown on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is saved on this device only. Change cookie settings. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet legal and accounting requirements. If an enquiry does not lead to an engagement, we review and delete it when we no longer need it.
7. Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect personal data from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Under the PDPA you may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent to our using it. To do any of these, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you withdraw consent, we may no longer be able to respond to your enquiry or provide a service.
9. Children
This website is for businesses and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
